* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 754 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located over North Beach Haven, moving southeast at
25 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large
hail.

SOURCE...Buoy. At 749 PM EDT, a 50 knot wind gust was recorded at
the North Beach Haven mesonet station.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could
result in structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
Beach Haven, North Beach Haven, Garden State North Reef, Little Egg
Reef, Little Egg Inlet, Ship Bottom, Garden State South Reef,
Harvey Cedars, and Brigantine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
Service.
