...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...1 to 2 ft of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. The highest water levels are likely with the Saturday morning and possibly Sunday morning high tides. * WHERE...In New Jersey, Hudson, Eastern Bergen, Eastern Essex and Eastern Union Counties. In New York, New York (Manhattan) County. * WHEN...During the times of high tide until 6 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor to moderate flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect around 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible for the Sunday morning high tide cycle. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Sustained northeast winds 15 to 25 mph, locally up to 25-30 mph. Wind gusts 35-40 mph, locally up to 45 mph. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. * WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strong winds will last for a very long duration, possibly exceeding 24-36 hours. Considering the long duration rain fall and full foliage of trees, impacts may be exacerbated. The highest localized winds are expected to occur on eastern Long Island and southern New London county. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. &&
