Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An additional period of strong westerly winds is forecast to occur during the day Friday, with gusts near 40 to 50 mph. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. &&

For the Gale Watch, west winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 7 to 10 ft possible. * WHERE...Coastal waters from Little Egg Inlet to Great Egg Inlet NJ out 20 nm. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 6 PM EDT this evening. For the Gale Watch, from Friday morning through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Ocean, Atlantic, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean and Southeastern Burlington. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Spotty moderate flooding is possible in the back bays of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey with Thursday evening's high tide cycle. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood. Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs. Visit the National Water Prediction Service at https://water.noaa.gov/wfo/phi for additional water level and flood impact information for your local tide gauge. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
