Long Island Sound.

* WHERE...Long Island Sound, New York Harbor, Peconic and
Gardiners Bays, and South Shore Bays from Jones Inlet through
Shinnecock Bay.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to
6 AM EST Tuesday. For the Gale Warning, from 6 AM Tuesday to 1
AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

...PATCHY DENSE FOG OVER THE WATERS TONIGHT...

Patchy dense fog is being observed with visibilities between a
quarter of a mile and a mile. Visibilities are expected to improve
early this morning as rain moves through the area.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Reduce your speed, and
keep a lookout for other vessels, buoys, and breakwaters. Use
proper fog signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember
to use your radar and compass. If not equipped with radar, you
should consider seeking safe harbor.
