* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Central Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
Southeastern Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 230 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wharton State
Forest, or 26 miles east of Gloucester City, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Hammonton, Tabernacle, Shamong, Wharton State Forest, Atsion,
Bamber Lake, Brookville, Warren Grove, Chatsworth, Old Halfway,
Penn State Forest, Beach Haven West, Holiday City-Berkeley, Ocean
Acres, and Manahawkin.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and southern New Jersey, including the
following areas, in central New Jersey, Eastern Monmouth. In
southern New Jersey, Atlantic, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean,
Ocean and Southeastern Burlington.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop by midday
today. Some of these showers and thunderstorms are expected
to produce very heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals of 1-2 inches
of rain can be expected with localized amounts of 3-5 inches
possible in the strongest storms. Rainfall rates within these
thunderstorms may reach up to 1-3 inches per hour at times.
