...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches for a storm total of 10 to 18 inches. Localized amounts in excess of 20 inches possible along coastal SW Maine and southeast New Hampshire. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Maine and central, northern, and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Significant snowfall with the potential for a foot plus of snow will bring a period of impacts. Moderate snow with periods of heavy snow will create hazardous travel conditions across the region. The potential exists for snowbands that will bring periods of locally heavy snowfall, which will lead to rapid snow accumulations and extremely dangerous travel conditions. Even light snowfall amounts can accumulate on roads and cause dangerous driving conditions due to snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible through early this morning.
