Flood Watch
Issued: 11:01 AM Jun. 6, 2025 – National Weather Service
...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash Flooding caused by slow moving thunderstorms and
repeating rounds of heavy rainfall.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern, and southern New Hampshire,
including the following areas, in New Hampshire, Western And
Central Hillsborough. In central New Hampshire, Belknap,
Merrimack, Strafford and Sullivan. In northern New Hampshire,
Northern Carroll, Northern Grafton, Southern Carroll and Southern
Grafton. In southern New Hampshire, Cheshire, Eastern Hillsborough
and Interior Rockingham.

* WHEN...From noon EDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of already
swollen streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations
including urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Repeating rounds of heavy rainfall could result in rainfall
amounts around 3 inches through this evening. Recent wet
conditions across central and southern New Hampshire are
keeping streams running high, and soils wet. These areas in
particular will be more vulnerable to flash flooding. However
rainfall amounts exceeding 3 inches in a few hours could
result in flooding for most areas regardless of antecedent
conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor the latest forecast and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flash flooding develop.
