Frost Advisory
Issued: 5:28 AM May. 7, 2026 – National Weather Service
...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Temperatures as cold as 33 to 37 degrees could result in at least patchy/localized frost formation. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central and south central Nebraska. * WHEN...Until 8 AM CDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although temperatures could get cold enough to support at least patchy frost in parts of the area, southwesterly breezes this morning will average at least 10 MPH much of the time, which should hinder widespread frost formation in most places. As a result, any frost that does develop will likely be heavily confined to low-lying and sheltered locations. The majority of the Advisory area will probably not see frost. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. &&
