* WHAT...For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values near 105
expected. For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to
104 to 109 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Iowa and east central, northeast,
and southeast Nebraska.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Friday.
For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

you can call 211 for assistance locating appropriate shelter from
the heat.
