* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

less than 20 mph, limiting the threat for blowing and drifting

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 28 below.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, panhandle, southwest,
and west central Nebraska.

* WHEN...Until noon CST /11 AM MST/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 28 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to
hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills Friday will stay below zero,
possibly remaining in the negative teens for much of the day.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
