...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SUNDAY TO 9 PM MDT MONDAY FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS... The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM Sunday to 9 PM MDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...The western Nebraska panhandle, including fire weather zones, 434, 435, 436, 437. * WIND...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 35 mph mainly between 10AM and 8PM each day. * HUMIDITY...Minimums of 8 to 15 percent during the afternoon, maximums of 35 to 50 percent in the early morning. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
