PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.

* WHERE...Banner County, Box Butte County, Cheyenne County, Dawes
County, Kimball County, Morrill County, Northern Sioux County,
Scotts Bluff County, and Southern Sioux County.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 8 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could reduce visibility
at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or
occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 MPH or gusts of 58
MPH or stronger can lead to property damage.

MORNING TO 6 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 417, 418,
430, 431, 432, 433, 434, 435, 436, AND 437...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 434, 435, 436, 437, 417,
418,430, 431, 432, and 433.

* WIND...In the morning, southwest winds 10 to 20 MPH with gusts
up to 30 MPH, becoming west 25 to 40 MPH with gusts up to 65 MPH
in the late morning and afternoon.

* HUMIDITY...12 to 20 percent. Poor humidity recoveries early in
the morning.

* HIGHEST THREAT...Just east of the Laramie Range across southeast
Wyoming and the Interstate 80 corridor into the Nebraska
panhandle. Poor humidity recoveries for this time of year are
expected as winds quickly increase above criteria, as early as
600 AM. Strong winds, low relative humidity, and mild
temperatures will lead to extremely critical fire weather
conditions.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
