For the Wind Advisory, south winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Wind Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to 8 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
