* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory southeast Nebraska, south winds 25 to
30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. For the Extreme Heat Warning,
dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee,
Saline, and Seward Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, until 7 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Heat
related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and
high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
