For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 106. * WHERE...Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Saline, and Seward Counties. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 7 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
