NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA...

* AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, West Polk, Norman, Clay,
Kittson, Roseau, Lake Of The Woods, West Marshall, East
Marshall, North Beltrami, Pennington, Red Lake, East Polk,
North Clearwater, South Beltrami, Mahnomen, South Clearwater,
Hubbard, West Becker, East Becker, Wilkin, West Otter Tail,
East Otter Tail, Wadena and Grant. In North Dakota, Pembina,
Eastern Walsh, Eddy, Nelson, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele,
Traill, Barnes, Cass, Ransom, Sargent, Richland and Western
Walsh.

* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will remain elevated this
afternoon and evening with RH improving slightly overnight
before falling again by midday Monday. The hot temperatures,
low relative humidity values, and strong southerly winds will
continue to bring critical fire weather conditions today through
Monday.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Minnesota and
northeast and southeast North Dakota.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
