...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations up to one inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northeast and southeast North Dakota. * WHEN...From late tonight through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. Ground blizzards may create whiteout conditions that could make travel extremely dangerous or impossible. Strong winds could cause tree damage. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Prepare for possible blizzard conditions. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
