around 1 to 2 inches. Winds gusting as high as 75 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest North Dakota.

* WHEN...From 9 PM CST /8 PM MST/ this evening to noon CST /11 AM
MST/ Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday
morning commute. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to
trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow squalls could bring whiteout conditions
late this evening through the early overnight hours.

* IMPACTS...The high winds may damage power lines, roofs, small
outbuildings, and signs. Tree branches may be broken. Travel will
be very difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
