Special Weather Statement
Issued: 9:18 AM Apr. 14, 2026 – National Weather Service
...SNOW MAY IMPACT THE MORNING COMMUTE DEVILS LAKE BASIN AND
NORTHERN RED RIVER VALLEY...

Brief heavy snow may impact travel conditions for this mornings
commute within portions of the Devils Lake basin and northern Red
River Valley. Heavy snow rates would greatly reduce visibility and
may lead to slippery roads. Snowfall totals up to 3 inches,
mainly to grassy surfaces. The best chance for this occurring is
from west and north of Devils Lake thru Cando to
Langdon...Walhalla and Cavalier.

If you plan on traveling, allow extra time to reach your
destination. Keep your headlights on and don't use cruise control.
Be especially careful around stop lights, school bus stops, and
intersections.
