...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1015 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 716 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Warrior Creek, Camp Branch, Cub Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Clear Branch, Beaver Creek, Church Branch, Bussels Creek, Cane Creek, Cove Creek, Bee Tree Branch, Big Bugaboo Creek and Basin Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
