PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments. The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, for Wake, Durham, and Granville counties from 10 AM to 8 PM EDT Friday. An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
