...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the
following areas, Coastal Brunswick, Coastal New Hanover, Inland
Brunswick and Inland New Hanover.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A frontal system will impact the area later today and tonight
bringing the potential for excessive rainfall which could
produce flash flooding. Total rainfall amounts in some places
through tonight could exceed 5 inches.
