Wilson County in central North Carolina... * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 631 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of Farmville, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Wilson, Bailey, Kenly, Lucama, Middlesex, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Macclesfield, Saratoga, and Sims. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 116. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 25 and 56. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 617 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 107 expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the Coastal Plain and eastern portions of the Piedmont and Sandhills. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
