...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
following counties, Edgecombe, Franklin, Halifax, Nash, Vance,
Warren and Wilson.

* WHEN...Through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Low pressure off the NC coast will move inland overnight,
bringing with it an increased chance for heavy rainfall
across the area.  While the region has been dry over the last
several weeks, there is a threat for training showers and
storms overnight through Tuesday afternoon. Rainfall totals
could range from 2 to 5 inches, with isolated amounts of 5 to
8 inches also possible. This amount of rainfall could lead to
flash flooding.
