Total snow accumulations from a dusting to up to 3 inches in the valleys, with 2 to 6 inches expected above 3500 feet. As much as 10 inches possible on the highest peaks along the Tennessee border. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Graham, Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
