The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Caswell County in north central North Carolina... * Until 245 AM EDT. * At 847 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2.5 to 5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Yanceyville... Bethel... Providence... Jericho... Prospect Hill... Camp Springs... Milton... This includes the following streams and drainages... Cane Creek, Country Line Creek, Burkes Creek and Benton Branch.
