...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast North Carolina, including the following areas, Coastal Brunswick, Coastal New Hanover, Coastal Pender, Columbus, Inland Brunswick, Inland New Hanover and Inland Pender and northeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Central Horry, Coastal Georgetown, Coastal Horry, Inland Georgetown and Northern Horry. * WHEN...From Saturday morning through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Tropical moisture will overspread the area Saturday through Sunday with showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall at times. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with a few areas potentially observing amounts up to 8 inches.
