frost formation.

* WHERE...Most of the Piedmont, the northern Coastal Plain, and the
northern Sandhills of NC.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm or kill sensitive outdoor vegetation or
plants if left uncovered.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Frost in the urban Triad and Triangle, where
temperatures will not be as chilly, will be patchier in coverage.

As drought conditions continue to worsen, the combination of
increasingly dry fuels and low relative humidity values dropping
into the 20 to 30%, will result in elevated fire potential and
continued threat of adverse fire behavior.
