...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FOR EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM TODAY... An Increased Fire Danger continues for much of Eastern North Carolina today due to low relative humidity values around 25 to 35 percent and worsening drought conditions. Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression equipment is readily available.
