... PATCHY DENSE FOG THROUGH 900 AM... Patchy dense fog has begun to develop across much of the Northeast Piedmont and Coastal Plain early this morning reducing visibilitiesto less than a quarter mile in spots. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of dense fog through around 900 AM. Rural areas will especially have poor visibilities. Drive at reduced speeds and watch for children at school bus stops. Use low beam headlights only. Visibility is expected to improve around 900 AM this morning.
