* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 1 AM EST Sunday. For
the Extreme Cold Warning, from 1 AM to 10 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Coastal Plain and eastern Sandhills.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
