...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Lenoir, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Northern Outer Banks, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered thunderstorms are expected to continue this evening, diminishing through the night. Where storms are more persistent, 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is possible.
