...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Edgecombe, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Randolph, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Clusters of thunderstorms may produce very heavy rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour. For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values between 105 and 109 are expected. * WHERE...Eastern Piedmont, Sandhills, and Coastal Plain of central North Carolina. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
