PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Be especially cautious in school zones and watch for children and the flashing lights of school buses. Be on the lookout for sudden changes in visibility, especially when driving near bodies of water. &&

....Areas of fog will be dense at times through daybreak... The fog will be most dense across the northern Piedmont and northern Coastal Plain, including portions of the Triad, Triangle, and Rocky Mount areas, where visibilities may be half to a quarter mile or less at times. Motorists are urged to slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow extra following distance. Conditions should improve after daybreak.
