...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO NOON MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14
inches near Chief Joseph Pass and 4 to 7 inches near Big Hole
Pass. Snow accumulations between 1 and 5 inches elsewhere. Winds
gusting over 60 mph at times on Thursday.

* WHERE...Northwest Beaverhead County.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult with falling and blowing
snow significantly reducing visibility at times. Those in the
backcountry should ensure they are prepared for dangerous
conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road
Report website.

MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts of between 65 and 80
mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and southwest Montana.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Travel could be very difficult to
dangerous, especially for high profile or light weight vehicles.
Blowing dust or snow could significantly reduce visibility at
times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Those traveling with high profile or light weight vehicles should
consider delaying travel or find an alternate route.
