* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 106. For the High Wind Warning, south
winds 25 to 35 with gusts up to 60 mph expected.

* WHERE...Dawson, Eastern Roosevelt, Prairie, Richland, Sheridan, and
Wibaux Counties.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 6 AM MDT Monday. For the
High Wind Warning, from 9 PM this evening to 4 AM MDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat
and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will struggle to drop below 65
degrees at night, so make sure to have ways of keeping the air cool
in apartments and homes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
