* COLD FRONT: Arrives over south central Montana this evening,
bringing a shift to breezy northwest winds. The front will reach
far southeast Montana early Monday morning. Before the frontal
passage, a southeasterly low level jet will produce gusty
ridgetop winds (up to 40 mph) and a slow humidity recovery over
southeast Montana tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.

...EXTREME HEAT WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TUESDAY
NIGHT...

* WHAT...Extremely hot daytime temperatures combined with warm
overnight low temperatures will produce cumulative heat stress.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Montana.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Tuesday Night.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerously hot conditions with high
temperatures of 104 to 112 today.  Temperatures Monday through
Tuesday will range from near 100 to 105. Overnight lows will remain
well above normal providing only limited relief.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, plan outdoor activities during the early morning and late
evening hours, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
