...EXTREME HEAT WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TUESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Extremely hot daytime temperatures combined with warm overnight low temperatures will produce cumulative heat stress. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Montana. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT Tuesday Night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 104 to 112 today. Temperatures Monday through Tuesday will range from near 100 to 105. Overnight lows will remain well above normal providing only limited relief. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, plan outdoor activities during the early morning and late evening hours, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
