...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT FRIDAY FOR UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES, GUSTY WINDS, AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 117 AND 118... * AFFECTED AREA...Central and Eastern Lewis and Clark National Forest Areas and Helena and Townsend Ranger Districts of the Helena National Forest. * WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Up to 81. * IMPACTS... Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Containment of any ongoing or new fires may be very difficult. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO 6 AM MDT MONDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Meagher County Valleys, Cascade County below 5000ft, and Judith Basin County and Judith Gap. * WHEN...From 6 PM Saturday to 6 AM MDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds combined with the wet and heavy nature of the snow could bring down tree branches. Isolated power outages are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts will vary drastically from grassy surfaces to roadways, most notably at lower elevations, with accumulations on non-grassy surfaces being confined mainly to between the evening through late morning hours.
