...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Montana, including the following counties, western Big Horn and southwestern Yellowstone. * WHEN...Until 600 AM MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River and stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 128 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has fallen over the past 24 hours in the Pryor Mountain Foothills. This water will flow downstream towards the Yellowstone River resulting in minor flooding of small creeks and streams in the advisory area. - This includes the following streams and drainages... East Pryor Creek, Blue Creek, Duck Creek, Fly Creek, and Pryor Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pryor, Lockwood, Huntley and Crow Indian Reservation. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places. Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in Billings. &&
