...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR HOT TEMPERATURES, GUSTY WINDS, AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 112, 113, 114, 115, AND 117... * AFFECTED AREA...Eastern Glacier/Toole/Central/Eastern Pondera/Liberty, Hill and Blaine Counties, Lewis and Clark National Forest Rocky Mountain District-Rocky Mountain Front, Chouteau and Fergus Counties and Central and Eastern Lewis and Clark National Forest Areas. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Up to 102. * THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms may cause localized strong, and erratic wind gusts and lightning, mostly over zones 115, 117 and 118 this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Containment of any ongoing or new fires may be very difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT... ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 PM MDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures between 100 to 105 degrees, with overnight temperatures only dropping to the mid to upper 60s. For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures between 95 and 100 expected. * WHERE...Cascade County below 5000ft, Hill County, Judith Basin County and Judith Gap, Northern Blaine County, and Western and Central Chouteau County. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until midnight MDT tonight. For the Heat Advisory, from midnight tonight to 9 PM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat. Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. If you must spend time outdoors, wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
