ROSEBUD COUNTIES UNTIL 2 PM MDT...

At 1229 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of heavy snow
along a line from 6 miles northwest of Deadmans Basin Reservoir to 15
miles southeast of Ashland, or along a line from 17 miles east of
Harlowton to 30 miles west of Broadus, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Colstrip, Roundup, Forsyth, Broadus, Ekalaka, Hysham, Custer,
Ryegate, Melstone, Lame Deer, Ashland, Ballantine, Worden, Volborg,
Deadmans Basin Reservoir, Rosebud, Musselshell, Lavina, Vananda and
Bighorn.

Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in
this heavy snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Periods of snow. Heaviest snowfall is expected Friday night.
Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches.

* WHERE...Powder River and Southern Rosebud.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely
become slick and hazardous. Travel could become difficult at times,
especially over the Lame Deer Divide vicinity. Cold and wet
conditions will be dangerous for young livestock.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Roads are expected to be slushy in most areas
during the day Friday. Heavier snow is expected Friday night
through Saturday evening with roads conditions deteriorating
further at that time.
