...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Missouri, including the following areas, in north central Missouri, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan. In northwest Missouri, Andrew, Atchison, De Kalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth. * WHEN...Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Excessive rainfall has occurred in portions of the watch area Saturday evening and night. Additional rounds of storms are expected Sunday night and Monday night, with locally heavy rainfall possible once again. Many roads are closed. Use extreme caution traveling across the warning area this morning. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gentry County in northwestern Missouri... * WHEN...Until noon CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 109 AM CDT, the public reported flooding in the warned area. Widespread rainfall totals of 3 to 8 inches have occurred, leading to numerous reports of flooding, especially in Harrison and Grundy counties. Several rural roads have been closed. Please use extreme caution traveling in the warned area this morning. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
