* At 1112 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 3 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Sedalia, Warrensburg, Marshall, Clinton, Windsor, Knob Noster,
Concordia, Sweet Springs, Whiteman Air Force Base, La Monte,

* WHERE...Blackwater River near Blue Lick.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, cropland and pastures along the river
flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 25.8 feet early Friday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
