* At 602 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Springfield, Republic, Marshfield, Battlefield, Strafford,
Willard, Rogersville, Seymour, Fair Grove, Fordland, Niangua,
Diggins, Duncan, Brookline, Turners, Bassville, Northview,
Galloway, Ebenezer, Glidewell and Bois D'arc.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 59 and 103.

This includes the following low water crossings...
Cantrell Creek at Scott Creek Road, Sac River at County Road 1247,
Wilson Creek at Farm Road 146, James River at Bell Ford Road,
Clear Creek at Farm Road 87, Finley River at Harmony Road and
Finley River at Highway Z.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
areas, Bourbon, Cherokee and Crawford and Missouri, including the
following areas, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian,
Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper,
Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller, Morgan, Newton,
Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, St. Clair, Stone,
Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area
creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rounds of heavy rainfall are expected into the day
Monday. Soils are saturated and rivers and streams are
running high, which increases the threat for flooding from
the additional rain.
