Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Joseph, Atchison, Gower, Wathena, Elwood, Troy, Country Club Villa, Country Club, Agency, Dearborn, Amazonia, Rushville, Lewis And Clark Village, Doniphan, Easton, De Kalb, Cosby, St. Joseph Airport, Faucett and Lewis And Clark Vi. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Andrew, Atchison MO, Buchanan, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth. * WHEN...Through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rainfall are expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, and continue into the overnight hours.
