...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following
county, Doniphan and northwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Andrew and Buchanan.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Joseph, Atchison, Gower, Wathena, Elwood, Troy, Country
Club Villa, Country Club, Agency, Dearborn, Amazonia,
Rushville, Lewis And Clark Village, Doniphan, Easton, De
Kalb, Cosby, St. Joseph Airport, Faucett and Lewis And Clark
Vi.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following
areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the
following areas, Adair, Andrew, Atchison MO, Buchanan, Daviess, De
Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam,
Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth.

* WHEN...Through late Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rainfall are
expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, and
continue into the overnight hours. Widespread rain amounts of
1-3 inches are expected but locally heavy amounts in excess
of 5 are possible.
