...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following county, Linn and west central Missouri, including the following counties, Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson and Johnson. * WHEN...Until 215 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 847 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicates most of the earlier rainfall has moved east of the warned area. Flooding is ongoing across much of the warned area with numerous roads closed. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Grand River at Urich. * WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Flooding occurs across locations within 0.5 to 1.5 miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying pastures along with cropland and secondary roads. At 28.0 feet, K Highway is under water approximately 1 mile south of Urich. Many other roads along the river are flooded as well. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 27.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.4 feet this afternoon.
