For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 100-105 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas and north central, northeast, and northwest Missouri. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT Friday. For the Heat Advisory, from 9 PM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Several days of extreme heat will impact the region with poor heat relief during the overnight hours.
