At 22.3 feet, Water enters Riverfront Park in Leavenworth. In addition, 2nd Street at the waste water treatment plant is closed due to high water. Persons should vacate the park to avoid the loss of life and property. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to a crest of 20.5 feet Saturday morning. At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture are also flooded. At 29.0 feet, Backwater from the Platte River floods Highway KK along the Little Platte River at the location 0.2 miles east of Highway B. At 30.5 feet, Interurban Road floods about 1.5 miles southeast of Sharps Station.
