...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northeastern Franklin County in east central Missouri... Northwestern Jefferson County in east central Missouri... Southwestern Saint Charles County in east central Missouri... Southwestern Saint Louis County in east central Missouri... Southeastern Warren County in east central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1225 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chesterfield, Wildwood, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Manchester, Washington, Town and Country, Union, Eureka, Ellisville, Sunset Hills, Des Peres, Pacific, Valley Park, Fenton, Frontenac, Byrnes Mill, Clarkson Valley, New Haven and Gray Summit. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
