...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Crooked River near Richmond.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Low-lying rural roads along with cropland
and woodlands flood.
At 21.0 feet, Water begins to overtop a gravel road about 1 mile
south of the F and B Highway intersection.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.4
feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this
evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and west central
Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri,
Pettis and Saline. In north central Missouri, Carroll and
Chariton. In west central Missouri, Clay, Jackson, Johnson,
Lafayette and Ray.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 508 PM CDT, the transportation department reported that
numerous, mainly rural, roads were closed due to flooding
from earlier rainfall of 2 and 4 inches.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Independence, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Excelsior Springs,
Oak Grove, Richmond, Odessa, Higginsville, Lexington,
Carrollton, Buckner, Lawson, Concordia, Sweet Springs,
Waverly, Orrick, Wellington, Norborne, Hardin and Hale.
