...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Missouri, including the
following counties, Cass, Jackson and Johnson.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 940 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Harrisonville, Pleasant Hill, Greenwood, Knob Noster, Holden,
Lake Lotawana, Lone Jack, East Lynne, Kingsville, Baldwin
Park, Whiteman Afb, Centerview, Strasburg, Gunn City,
Pittsville and Fayetteville.

KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami and Wyandotte and Missouri,
including the following areas, Adair, Bates, Caldwell, Carroll,
Cass, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Henry, Howard, Jackson,
Johnson MO, Lafayette, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Pettis, Platte,
Randolph, Ray and Saline.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
